14/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - Heads of state and government again said they were deeply concerned by the Iranian nuclear programme and deplored the fact that Teheran has still not come into line with UN Security Council resolutions. The European Council therefore invites Iran to provide the IAEA with “full, clear and credible” answers, and to resolve all outstanding issues. It reaffirms its support of the efforts made within the UN Security Council with a view to strengthening sanctions and points out that, since the conclusions of the External Relations Council on 15 October this year (EUROPE 95651), reflection has begun on additional measures. EU foreign ministers will discuss possible measures to be taken by the EU during their next meeting. (A.B.)
