10/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 7 December, the Council of the EU adopted joint action extending the mandate of the special representative of the EU in Sudan, Torben Brylle, to take into account the EU military operation in Chad and the Central African Republic. The special representative could provide political orientations to the commander of the EU force to ensure coherency of EU actions in the Sudan and Darfur. (A.B.)
