Slight changes to agenda

Brussels, 08/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 8 November, the European Parliament Conference of Presidents agreed to a request from the GUE/NGL group to add to the European Parliament plenary agenda next week a statement from EU Commissioner Franco Frattini, and a resolution on application of the directive on the rights of EU citizens to freely move and live in the EU member states. Debate on the issue will take place at 7pm on Monday following debate on the Jordan Cizelj Report on the statutes of the Euratom supply agency. A European Commission statement on comitology is also expected on Monday evening. On Thursday 15 November, from 10-10.50am, the Commission will make a statement on seeking an EU solution to fragile situations and promoting sustainable development, stability and peace in difficult environments. The debates on human rights, planned for Thursday afternoon, will look at the situation facing Christian communities in the Middle East, Uzbekistan and Somalia. (O.L.)
