Brussels, 08/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - Following a telephone conversation between Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot and Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin, the Commission and Russia decided on Thursday 8 November to postpone, to a date still to be decided, the joint summit on civil aviation, which was due to take place in Moscow on 16-17 November (see EUROPE 9476). In a statement, the two parties said that more work was required on the issues to be discussed at the meeting, the aim of which was to enhance cooperation between the EU and Russia in this area. Both parties say that dialogue on transport will continue. (A.By.)
