Luxembourg, 29/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a decision made on 23 October the European Court of Justice (ECJ) confirmed that the gradual increase in the agricultural payments to new member states of the EU since 2004 complies with the act of accession (Case C-273/04). Poland went to the ECJ on the grounds that this system was discriminatory against new member states, which would never receive the totality of their payments until 2013.
