Brussels, 27/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - The formal abolition of the death penalty in Rwanda, decided on 25 July 2007, was welcomed by the EU. The Portuguese EU presidency, like the European Commission, congratulates the government and the people of Rwanda on this major decision.
