23/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Following the European Parliament's favourable opinion (see EUROPE 9449), on Monday 23 July, the EU Council of Ministers adopted, without debate, This agreement grants 6,400 tonnes annually of tuna and tuna-like fish to four (Spanish and French) purse seine vessels and twelve surface longliners (6 each for Spain and Portugal). The EU financial compensation is €478,400 per year. (lc)
