GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/competition

03/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 2 July, the Commission approved the acquisition of joint control of a newly created American company Kimble Chase Life Science and Research Products LLC by Gerresheimer Glass Inc and Chase Scientific Glass Inc, both belonging to US companies. The new entity will develop and manufacture specialist glassware for scientific applications. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
