Freedom of households to choose gas and electricity suppliers effective from 1st July in Union

Brussels, 02/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In compliance with directives 2003/54/EC and 2003/55/EC on the opening of the energy markets, all European consumers, households and businesses, now have the choice of gas and electricity suppliers. Until now, only the major consumers (businesses) had this possibility.
