Commission approves 2007-13 national strategy and priorities for Netherlands

Brussels, 14/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 14 June, the European Commission approved the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) for the Netherlands in which the Dutch authorities describe how they are going to invest funding of around €1.9 billion in an effort to deliver growth and jobs to their regions in the 2007-13 period. The Commission has therefore validated the NSRF priorities, the annual indicative allocation and the list of operational programmes.

The Netherlands' priorities for 2007-2013 are to promote regional economies' competitiveness and innovation, making Dutch regions more attractive with increased quality of living, and improvement in the adaptability and training of the country's workforce. These priorities will be implemented in four regional operational programmes, three of which will receive ERDF funding and one ESF funding.

A press release points out that the Netherlands sent its NSRF by e-mail to the Commission on 18 December 2006 and that the final version was sent on 20 April 2007. Info:
