14/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Switzerland will not chair the Mixed Schengen Committee over the next six months, the head of the Swiss Federal Justice and Police Department, Christoph Blocher announced in Luxembourg on Tuesday. Under normal circumstances, a Mixed Committee associate member (Switzerland, Norway or Iceland) takes the presidency in the second half of each year, but some countries which are already members are not happy with this rule.
