13/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - In April 2007, industrial production fell by 0.8% in the eurozone compared to March 2007, when it increased by 0.5%. In the EU27, production fell by 0.4% in April, with a rise of 0.5% in March. Compared to the same period in 2006, industrial production was up 2.8% in the eurozone and 3.2% in the EU27. At an annual rate, industrial production increased in 17 member states and fell in three. The largest increases were recorded in Slovakia (+14.9%), Poland and Slovenia (+10.1% each) as well as in Bulgaria (+9.9%), while decreases were noted in Finland (-1.3%), the Netherlands (-1.0%) and Latvia (-0.5%).
