07/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has watered down the initial proposal on cod recovery measures in the Baltic Sea, when it adopted the report by Zdzislaw Kazimierz Chmielewski (EPP-ED, Poland) in Brussels on 7 June. The fisheries committee's original position has been retained (see EUROPE 9420).
