Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Netherlands undertake to create single electricity market

Luxembourg, 07/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Energy ministers of the Pentalateral Energy Forum (Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands), as well as representatives of regulatory authorities, transport network managers and the above countries' electricity markets signed, on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Energy Council, a memorandum of understanding for the creation of a single interconnected electricity market on 1 January 2009.
