Luvata, global machined metal solutions, services and component supplier for industry and construction, has signed a deal to buy ECO SpA, the world's leading thermal exchange and refrigeration manufacturer. ECO currently employs nearly 2400 people and had net sales of €325 m in 2006. The deal requires the regulatory go-ahead of the European Union.
