29/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 24 May, the European Commission granted the acquisition of joint control of four British energy operators Deeside Power Development Company Limited, Rugeley Power Limited, International Power IQ Limited (Indian Queens) and International Power Fuel Company Limited (IPFC). The takeovers will be made by International Power plc (IPR) of the UK and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. of Japan. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
