29/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 8 June, the European Association of Paritarian Institutions of Social Protection (AEIP) is to hold a seminar in Dublin on the “construction sector in the European Union - pilot sector for pan-European projects». Charlie McCreevy, the commissioner in charge of the internal market and services, will open the work on: (1) the development of asset/liability management and its consequences for investment; (2) asset management benchmarking: new tools for the best return on investment; (3) portability in the construction sector; (4) the construction sector as a pilot sector for cross-border activities in the area of pensions; and (5) the posting of workers and its impact on the social protection schemes of the construction sector.
