29/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - The French collective of social services of general interest (SSIG-FR) is organising a conference on the theme: “Towards a European strategy for social services of general interest” (SSGI), in partnership with six European SSGI organisations and with the participation of rapporteurs from the European Parliament (Joël Hasse-Ferreira, PES, Portugal), the Committee of the Regions (Jean-Louis Destans, PES, France), the European Economic and Social Committee (Raymond Hencks, Workers Group, Luxembourg), and representatives of the member states that will hold the EU presidency for 2007-2008.
