29/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - In its half-yearly economic report published on 24 May, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) predicts a rise of 2.7% in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2007 for the OECD zone, which is composed of the 30 main developed countries of the planet, compared to 2.5% during the previous estimate at the end of November 2006. The organisation is increasingly optimistic about the eurozone which should notch up growth of 2.7% in 2007. European growth is expected to thus largely exceed that of the United States (2.1%) in 2007. (lc)
