Court of Justice rules on several infringements of EU environment law

Luxembourg, 25/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - Several cases taken to the European Court of Justice were concluded on Thursday 24 May, confirming decisions by the European Commission against Spain, Italy and Portugal for violating environmental legislation. Spain was found guilty of failing to apply Waste Directive (75/442/EEC) at the waste disposal sites of Nijar, Hoyo de Miguel and Cueva del Mojon (Case C-361/05).
