“LIFE +” formally adopted

Brussels, 22/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - LIFE +, the financial instrument for the environment, which has a budget of €1.951 billion for the period from 2007 to 2013, has been formally adopted. In voting unanimously for the report by Marie Anne Isler Béguin (Greens/EFA, France), the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 22 May confirmed the joint text approved by the conciliation committee of the Parliament and Council (see EUROPE 9396).
