TransAtlantic relations - Visit of Indian president - 2005 discharge - European air space and maritime transport

Brussels, 17/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 23 April, the European Parliament will begin its plenary session in Strasbourg with a discussion about the controversial report by Slovak Christian Democrat Miroslav Mikolasik on the draft regulation on innovative therapeutic medicines, following the failure of informal negotiations with the Council and Commission (EUROPE No.9399). The daytime Tuesday session will mainly focus on the creation of the common European airspace area, as well as the traditional debate on the 26 reports concerning the discharges for execution of the general EU budget. On Wednesday, the Parliament will be welcoming the Indian president, Abdoul Kalam, after spending the morning on transatlantic relations. The draft agenda for this session, before any possible amendments by the conference of presidents of the political groups meeting on Thursday and its definitive adoption by the plenary, is as follows.
