Visit of President Pöttering to launch European election campaign on 20 May

Brussels, 17/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - The president of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering, will visit Sofia on 19 April to launch the European election campaign in Bulgaria. The election of 18 Bulgarian MEPs will take place on 20 May. European elections in Romania (the other country that joined the EU in January 2007) will be postponed because of a domestic political crisis.
