22/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Confederation of Police (Eurocop), which has its seat in Luxembourg, states it is pleased with the Spanish government's adoption, on 15 March, of two legislative reforms concerning the Guardia Civil, which is a security force with military status. “If approved by Parliament, this will permit the organisation of Guardia Civil officers in professional associations and will reform the disciplinary system”, said Eurocop President Heinz Kiefer.
