Parliament allows rapid adoption of directive on cross-border mergers and acquisitions

Strasbourg, 14/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 13 March, the European Parliament adopted the report by Wolf Kintz (EPP-ED, Austria) on the draft directive amending the criteria and procedure on acquisitions and mergers in the financial sector which opens the way for the first reading adoption of this legislation.
