13/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - In view of implementing the raft of restrictions already imposed on Iran, the Commission adopted on Wednesday a draft Council regulation. This new text is needed for an across-the-board application of certain restrictive measures on goods and technologies, as well as on the freezing of funds and economic resources, as defined in resolution 1737 of the UN Security Council and approved by the EU's common position on 27 February.
