Brussels, 13/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The first European works council (EWC) in an Italian bank has been launched in UniCredit, covering 145,000 workers in 25 countries, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) announces in a press release dated 12 March. For the first time, ETUC points out, the European Banking Federation (EBF), through its European Social Affairs Committee President, was involved in negotiations to set up an EWC, and is a signatory to the final UniCredit agreement....
