Division between member states over tax only uncertainty at European Economic and Financial Council

Brussels, 26/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday EU finance ministers will put the finishing touches to preparations for the March European Council. Final preparations include the adoption of two texts on the Lisbon Strategy: one updating integrated guidelines for employment and the Broad Economic Policy Guidelines (BEPG) for 2007, and the other on key questions outlining the main economic and financial objectives, as well as conclusions on reducing administrative charges.
