02/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - For the third year in a row, MEPs will meet members of the national parliaments of the member states in Brussels next Monday and Tuesday (5/6 February), to debate progress made on the Lisbon Strategy, which aims to improve the performance of the European economy. This two-day meeting, which will be jointly chaired by the president of the EP, Hans-Gert Pöttering, and the president of the German Bundestag, Norbert Lammert, will focus particularly on issues relating to energy, innovation and human capital.
