21/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Ferrero-Waldner announced on Thursday the nomination of former French Minister Bernard Kouchner as the EU's “eminent person” on the International Independent Group of Eminent Persons (IIGEP), in Sri Lanka. The IIGEP is to monitor the work of the national commission of inquiry into recent human rights violations.
