Brussels, 21/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the European Commission concluded that the Swedish state-owned terrestrial network operator Teracom did not receive illegal subsidies under EC Treaty state aid rules. According to complaints, Teracom received financial support from the Swedish State which was used to give digital terrestrial transmission in Sweden an unfair competitive advantage over other types of digital transmission platforms such as cable and satellite.
