01/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 30 November, at its plenary session in Brussels, the European Parliament adopted the report by Italian Liberal MEP Paolo Costa on the proposal amending directive 2006/87/EC establishing technical requirements for inland waterway vessels. The Parliament only adopted five technical amendments through the simplified procedure, the aim being, once again, to ensure that the new comitology rules, in force since July, will also apply to the new directive.
