Brussels, 01/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 1 December, the Council of Ministers approved the proposals put forward by the European Commission to promote decent employment in the Union and in the world as a whole. It shares the Commission's view that decent work, that is, more work in better conditions with social coverage, social dialogue and equal opportunities, may contribute to combating poverty, especially in the poor countries.
