16/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Verona on 13 November, the Presidents of Coldiretti, the Italian farmers' organisation, Paolo Bedoni, and the British National Farmers Union (NFU) Peter Candel, reached an agreement to work together in WTO negotiations to introduce rules to protect the origin of food products and give them greater visibility through labelling. Another of Coldiretti and the NFU's common aims is to combine efforts to promote the use of biofuels of agricultural origin. (mg)
