16/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Institute in Nice (IEHEI), created in 1964 at the initiative of the Centre International de Formation Européenne, is launching its first discussions based on the European identity in Nice on 16 and 17 November. Themes covered are: peoples and religions, legacies and diversity, European figures and the unity of symbols, Alexandre Marc and Denis de Rougemont (with Dusan Sidjanski, President of the European Culture Centre, and Bruno Boissière, Director of the CIFE Bureau in Brussels and Secretary of the Federalist Intergroup at the European Parliament), federalism and personalism in the European identity (with Ferdinand Kinsky, CIFE Vice-President, and Harmut Marhold, its Director General). The CIFE, which was founded by Alexandre Marc, is presided by Jean-Claude Juncker.
