Speaking before MEPs, Ms Fischer Boel confirms intention of holding debate on future of milk quotas

Strasbourg, 15/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - During a debate in Strasbourg on 13 November, on the future of the milk quotas regime, Mariann Fischer Boel, the Commissioner for Agriculture, confirmed that she hoped to take advantage of the planned "health check" of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which is due to be held in 2008/2009, to discuss with the Member States what will become of the quota system once it expires on 31 March 2015.
