13/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Friday the European Commission authorised the merger plan put forward by Veolia Cargo and Rail Link from France to take over French companies JVEF and JVCOM. Veolia Cargo is active in the rail goods and freight sector. Rail Link has business interests in transporting goods overland, particularly combined rail and road transport. JVEF mainly transports freight in France and JVCOM is involved in combined rail/road transport in several European countries. The...
