Brussels, 07/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the plenary in Strasbourg next week, the European Parliament will be voting in second reading on the Gebhardt Report on services in the Internal Market (see EUROPE 9293 and 9298). The EP will also discuss the European Commission's legislative programme for 2007, will be given a Commission briefing on the generalised preference system and will debate the European marine environment strategy (see EUROPE 9297). The MEPs will discuss implementation of the European Security and Defence Strategy and the assessment conference for the convention to ban biological warfare.
