Netherlands referred to Court of Justice for impeding free movement of shellfish farming products

Brussels, 18/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has accused the Netherlands of seeking to restrict the seeding of oysters and mussels coming from other Member States into Dutch coastal waters. On 18 October, it decided to refer the Dutch government to the Court of Justice for impeding the free movement of goods in the internal market.
