MEPs play for time in expectation of Commission action plan on future patents policy

Brussels, 13/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 12 October, following a debate held during the second plenary session of September (see EUROPE 8926), the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the future of European patents by a large majority. Being unable at this stage to decide on a single path to follow to improve the current system, the EP called on the Commission immediately to explore every avenue to improve the patents and patent litigation regulation systems in the EU.
