Commission pursues infringement proceedings against ten Member States

Brussels, 12/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - These proceedings concern the following:

Failure to transpose. Eight Member States (Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Slovenia and Sweden) will receive reasoned opinions for failure to notify their national measures for the transposition of directives 2004/18/EC (typical public procurement), 2004/17/EC (special sectors) and/or 2005/51/EC. The deadline for implementation of these directives was 31 January 2006.
