Discussion on Finnish Presidency's compromise proposal on direct trade with northern part of Cyprus

Brussels, 10/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Olli Rehn (enlargement) met the Turkish-Cypriot leader, Mehmet Ali Talat, in Brussels on Tuesday. Their discussions were mainly on a compromise proposal prepared by the Finnish EU Council Presidency with a view to bringing the Turkish Cypriot community out of its isolation.
