26/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 26 September, the fourth annual meeting of cities taking part in the European Commission's CIVITAS programme was held in Burgos, Spain. The programme aims to develop alternatives to private car use in towns and cities so as to reduce congestion and pollution, and promote a more rational use of energy.
