02/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 27 July, the Board of Governors of the European Investment Bank (EIB), composed of 25 EU finance ministers, appointed Simon Brooks, former Director of the Macroeconomic Policy and International Finance Directorate, HM Treasury, to the post of Vice-President of the Bank to replace Peter Sedgwick. Mr Brooks thus joins EIB President Philippe Maystadt as well as the seven other vice-presidents, on the Bank's Management Committee.
