Former European Commissioner Edith Cresson is found guilty of favouritism but will continue to receive her pension

Luxembourg, 11/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice acting in plenary assembly has found European Commissioner Edith Cresson guilty of favouritism toward one of her friends, the dental surgeon, René Berthelot, by having him employed at the Commission. Ms Cresson may continue to receive her Commissioner's pension amounting to €3,600 per month.
