11/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, German Liberal MEP Alexander Alvaro welcomed the fact that, during the Ecofin Council of 12 July, the Finnish Presidency presented its programme for the six months at an open session. After years when MEPs (particularly from the ALDE group, to which German FDP MEPs belong: Ed.) have tried to draw Council debates from obscurity, at last here is some light, he said.
