EU welcomes results from constitutional referendum and encourages free and transparent elections to be held

Brussels, 30/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - Welcoming the organisation of the constitutional referendum on 25 June in Mauritania and the massive support given by voters to the new constitution proposed by the ruling junta, the presidency of the Council published on 29 June, on behalf of the EU, the following declaration,
