TELE2 from Sweden is aiming to takeover two regional mobile telephone operators in Russia to become the fourth biggest in the country. One of the companies is SMARTS (active in 16 regions with 3.2 million subscribers) to whom it has offered $ 700 million and the other is an offer for the Russian business activities of the US company MCT, which operates under the brand name “Indigo” in four regions in the country.
