NGO calls on Union to refuse financial support for building two cellulose factories in Uruguay

Brussels, 26/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - Supported by the authorities in Buenos Aires, an Argentinean NGO, Centro de derechos humanos y ambiente (CEDHA) has asked two Green MEPs to ask the European institutions to rule out any funding from Community or European bank funds for European companies, Ence (Spain) and Botnia (Finland) to build two cellulose factories on Uruguayan territory at the river border between Argentina and its neighbour.
