Commission endorses funding for new Hankook tyre production plant in Hungary

Brussels, 23/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised €92.6 million of aid which the Hungarian Government intends to grant to Hankook Tire Hungary for the creation of a new production plant for car tyres in Dunaújváros, Hungary. The total cost of the investment will amount to €424.9 million over five years (2006-2010). Hankook Tire Hungary is the fully owned subsidiary of Korean based Hankook Tire Co.
